I received a permanent residency permit (PRP) based on a petition from the factory where I work under a special permit. Will my residency remain valid if I resign from this company? I also own my own real estate.

Published:

Upon resignation, the permanent residence permit issued at the enterprise’s request will be annulled due to the loss of the grounds for its issuance.

The special permit is tied to a specific employer. It is advisable to find a new hiring entity in advance that is ready to process a new special permit for you — otherwise, you will not be able to work legally (except for the list of vacancies for which it is not required).

Owning residential property does not grant the right to maintain a PRP. Without other grounds, you will only be able to apply for a temporary (annual) residence permit with the right of renewal.

Recommendation: before resigning, coordinate your plan of action with the Department of Citizenship and Migration (OGiM) at your place of residence.
