A foreign citizen may purchase a house in Belarus, but they cannot acquire ownership of the land plot beneath it, regardless of its designated purpose. Foreigners may own the house, but the land can only be held under a lease, except in cases where the land is inherited. The conversion from LHI (Lifelong Inheritable Possession) to a lease is carried out by the new owner themselves after the transaction is completed.
